Buy superb fresh coffee directly

from the farmer in Tanzania
Who has made the coffee
The coffee is made by a group of 20-30 farmers living on the
slope of Mt. Meru in Tanzania. They produce some of the best
coffee in the world (Arabica, grade AA). They live about 1500-1700 meter above sea level and just 3 ˚ south of the equator. Each
farmer has a small plot where he harvests from 220 – 6600 pounds
(100-3000kg) of coffee every year. They pick the coffee by hand
and then bring it to their small “factory” where it is washed
and dried. Further processing is done in Arusha town. If you
have been on safari with us you would have tasted this coffee.
The coffee farmer and his family
Let your money go right to the
farmer
Usually the farmers sell their row coffee to local buyers. These
middlemen sell it again on the international
auction in Moshi, Tanzania. The price the farmer gets compared
to what it is sold for at the auction is quite low. The coffee
bought at the auction is then sent out of the country and
roasting and packing is done abroad. If you buy directly from the farmer more money
will go to them and not all the rich middlemen. Wild Tracks is
also doing all the processing inside Tanzania and makes sure the
money is staying in the country. After processing the coffee is
sent directly to the buyer without any middlemen.
Our shipment has
given the farmer double price of what he usually gets and
provided jobs for many people in the village! If you are a
coffee lover and believe the farmer should get a decent salary, you should buy this coffee!!!!
