4 days climb to Mt. Meru |

| Day 1 |
Leave Arusha at 08:30 to Momella gate, altitude 1550. Complete the last
arrangements including an armed ranger that will also be your guide.
Start the trek through rain forest. Enjoy the different varieties of
birds, animals, butterflies and flowers. Dinner and overnight at
Miriakamba hut, altitude 2500 m.

| Day 2 |
From Miriakamba ascend to Saddle hut, altitude 3500 m. The walk takes
about 3-4 hours. Through the first part of the forest you will walk on
more than 800 steps. Then you reach Tembo (Elephant point) where you
will have your first great view over the crater including the ash cone.
Continuing walking the forest will slowly change into smaller trees
before you reach Saddle hut. Mount Kilimanjaro is best viewed here. In
the afternoon you are encouraged to visit to Little Meru that are seen
clearly from Saddle hut. This takes approximately 45 minutes. The
altitude is 3820 m. At 02:00 am you will start to ascend to the summit.
at 4566 m, via Rhino Point at 3800 m.

| Day 3 |
You shall eat a little before you start the climbing early in the
morning. On the way to the top you first reach Rhino point (3800 m).
From here you continue walking on the narrow edge. If you are fast
walker you will reach the top and see the sun rice from behind Mt.
Kilimajaro. It’s a beautiful sight. The last climb is very steep, but
when you have reached the top you will have a fantastic view over Arusha
town and its district. The cliff between the summit and Ash Cone is over
1500 m in height and is one of the tallest cliffs in the world. From the
summit you descend to Saddle hut for breakfast. Then proceed to
Miriakamba hut for lunch dinner and overnight.

| Day 4 |
After leisurely breakfast, descend through the long route that includes
a visit to Njeku and Kitoto waterfalls. Trek through the forest to
Momella gate, this takes about 4 hours. Meet with your driver at the
gate and transfer back to Arusha.
